Methodology
- Topic selection. We start from a purchase or a failure: a pair of ASINs, a sleep trim, a bath, a ladder. A weekly pass drops ideas that do not change what a caregiver opens.
- Source collection. Tier 1 first: CDC, NIDCD, NIMH, WHO, IEC 60529, and the Tomchek and Dunn paper. Tier 2 corroborates: AOTA pages and, at most twice on this site, one OEM sheet. The shortlist is the file docs/authority-sources.md in the repository. Listings are claims, not laboratories.
- First draft. Lucía Arroyo writes the draft with a named source on every numeric or standards claim, and a worked example labeled as a composite, not a testimonial.
- Editorial review. Klara Novak reads for accuracy and for tone that does not promise a calm child. She does not share the byline.
- Update cadence. Each guide shows its updated date and is due for re-review every three months, sooner if an OEM sheet or a cited standard page changes a figure we rely on.
Drafting and source checks use AI assistance. A human decides what stays, including the choice to leave four ASINs blank. That is the human-in-the-loop step. The HTML declaration reads “human-curated, AI-assisted research.”
